Canadian Wildfires Rage On: Urgent Call For Prayer

Last Spring the National House of Prayer (NHOP) called for a National Prayer alert for the fires in Fort St. John and Northern BC and Alberta. They saw immediate responses from their prayer partners and intercessors across the nation. Many miracles were reported.

NHOP is calling on us once again to pray for areas affected by wildfires. In BC, Kelowna and West Kelowna are under states of emergency. As well in the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife has issued an evacuation order..

On Tuesday August 22, 2023, our National Prayer call will focus on praying for these communities affected by wildfires.

Ottawa Flood Disaster Response

As Ottawa residents struggle to recover from devastating flash floods, Samaritan’s Purse has accepted a City of Ottawa invitation to offer physical and spiritual help wherever possible. This is the fifth time SP relief teams have served in the Ottawa region. They assisted people impacted by tornadoes in 2018, helped clean up homes after extensive flooding in 2017 and 2019, and removed hundreds of downed trees after a violent 2020 windstorm.
