Your Monday Motivation is a quote from Pastor Steven Furtick: “Avoiding disappointment is not a strategy for happiness - it's a recipe for resentment.”
Being unable to forgive what happens to you leads to a life without stepping into relationships with people, without risk, without trying new things. The fear of being let down or hurt stops us from LIVING. If we don’t learn to forgive the people or the circumstances that wrong us, we'll become reclusive, closed, fearful, and resentful. What if we could live knowing disappointment will come, but we can have the strength and confidence to move ahead and step out again? Don’t risk looking back and wishing you could have done more, seen more, said more, loved more. Happy Monday.
