This week’s Monday Motivation is from a poem titled “Two Little Shadows”:
“You only have shadows when your life's filled with sun.”
When you are positive, joyful - good things are going on in your life - people gravitate to you. They want to be around you. They may distract, may get in the way, but they’re there because they’re drawn to your light. It’s a gift!
While this isn’t synonymous with parenting, as a Mom, the weekend felt busy. A lot of play time, not a lot of ‘Me’ Time. I said to my husband after the kids were in bed last night: “tiring weekend”. But it was said with a smile. Like the mother-of-two in the poem says, I don’t get weary or weighed down by having two little tagalongs right there day after day. ‘It’s good to have shadows, for you only have shadows when your life’s filled with sun.’ Happy Monday.
