Are you right back in to chauffeuring the kids around every day? At one point when I was in school, God bless my parents for taking me to to dance, piano and singing lessons every week... AND Scouts and piano for my brother.
I love that Fall always feels like a fresh start—the air is crisp, routines are shifting, and we’ve got a brand-new season ahead.... But there doesn’t seem to be ANY cushion between the crazy first week of school and the start of sports and extra-curriculars! It isn’t long before you feel overwhelmed by it all.
Time-Management Guru Stephen Covey said, “The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.”
I find, too often, the urgent crowds out the important. WE can choose to put the things that really matter at the top of the list. Maybe it’s family dinners, quiet time with God, or making space to breathe and rest. Don’t let the busyness decide what matters most—decide first. ‘Cause when you lead with priorities, everything else finds its place. Happy Monday!
