How many times do I find myself faced with a problem and the first thing I do is try to find a way out of it, rather than immediately taking it to God?
Max Lucado said: “Don’t measure the size of the mountain, talk to the One who can move it.”
I have wasted time contemplating all angles and possible outcomes, humming and hawing over it until it drives me to pray when I should have been praying all along. When we fixate on the problem it begins to seem bigger than it is, so focus, instead, on the Problem Solver who is bigger than anything you’ll ever face.
'Cause there’s always gonna be another mountain to climb, and maybe, just maybe, instead of asking God to move the mountain, ask Him to be with you when it's time to climb... and the next mountain you face won’t seem quite so tall. Happy Monday!
