New Year's Resolutions

Family Radio CHRI and Anytime Fitness Kent Street want to help you achieve your fitness and health goals this year! Make this New Year, about a new, healthier you!






HOW: This week on the Morning Express and Home Stretch listen for your cue to call (613-247-1886) and tell us what your fitness or health goal is this year. **

WHEN: Monday, January 5th - Friday, January 9th, 2015 during the Morning Express (weekdays 7-10am) and Home Stretch (weekdays (3-6pm)

WHERE: On-Air, 613-247-1886

WHAT: 2 winners will each receive ($400 value each):

  • 4 month membership to Anytime Fitness 200 Kent Street (at Laurier). This is a 24/7 club where you gain access to the club at any hour with a key fob. No excuses about time schedules!
  • InBody analysis sessions with club owner and personal trainer, Ashley Mathieu. This analysis will tell you everything from your current weight, body fat, lean mass and fat analysis on specific parts of your body, water retention, basal metabolic rate, Skeletal mass etc. This will be done at the beginning of the membership and at the end of the 4 months.
  • Fitness assessment to go over the client’s strengths, weaknesses and any imbalances the individual may have. From that you will be guided in the right direction to fix the imbalances/weaknesses.
  • Orientation on how to use equipment properly.
  • Random ‘spot checks’ by Ashley to make sure they are on track and being held accountable!


With the New Year fast approaching, many people come up with ‘New Year Resolutions’ to get fit and lose weight. The issue with that is most people have an unrealistic mindset and/or goals and often fall short after they begin. This is where a Holistic approach comes in handy!

With a Holistic approach, you will understand how balance comes in handy. By doing this, you eliminate the strict approach many use to hit goals. The goal here is not to focus on losing weight, but rather becoming healthy, understanding nutrition, becoming more active and limiting your everyday stress.

New Year resolutions are like thoughts or an idea. Problem with that is, often thoughts and ideas get forgotten!
