Ten Thousand Villages Festival Sale - November 2014

tenthousandvillages_squCHRI's Care Baldwin will be Out & About with Arnprior Chrysler, LIVE on Location this Saturday, November 1st for the kick-off of the Ten Thousand Villages' Annual Festival Sale, hosted by the Ottawa Mennonite Church! 

 

The Sale takes place Fridays and Saturdays in November. Stop in this Saturday between 11:00am and 1:00pm and come say hi to Care!

 

WHEN: Fridays (3pm-8pm) & Saturdays (10am-4pm) in November (Nov. 1 – 29)

Come to the sale to get your Christmas shopping done: fairly traded Christmas ornaments, pottery, jewelry and other fair trade goods from Africa, Asia and Latin America. 

 

SPECIAL EVENTS:

- Foodie Festival Friday – November 7 (6:30pm-7:30pm)
FREE - Food demonstration featuring gingerbread house and cookie decorating tips, recipes and yummy samples. Enjoy some fairly-traded coffee from Equator.

- Fair Trade Fashion Show – November 14 (7:00pm-7:30pm)
FREE – Fair Trade Fashion Show features the latest in fairly-traded clothing and jewellery (teamed up with Adorit Boutique from the Byward Market)

- Christmas Handbell Choir – November 21 (7:00pm-7:30pm)
FREE Concert

- Saturdays – all day, enjoy homemade borscht, desserts, tea and coffee in the tearoom.
 

- MCC Christmas Giving (formerly called Living Gift) will be available each weekend of the Sale. Make a donation towards in someone’s name to a project through the Mennonite Central Committee in the areas of relief, agriculture, environment and education.
