There are so many Summer Bucket Lists going around. It’s not a bad idea to make your own, if anything, so you can be content with the things that YOU get to do over the break.
Every day I scroll Facebook, I feel jealousy start to creep in about all the fun everyone else is already having: family cruises and vacations and landscaped backyards... But that isn't MY fun, it's THEIR fun. I’d rather be happy for them and their experiences.
I may not be able to take a beach-side holiday this summer but my kids can’t WAIT to sleep in a tent when we go camping!
Your goals, plans, interests - even budget - are your own, and it’s too easy to forget that.
So instead of judging yourself and your summer based on how you view other people, focus on your own unique circumstances and achievements. “A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms."
