The CAN-AM Shootout is a men's university basketball pre-season game, at Scotiabank Place. Doors open at 5:00pm.

 

Carleton, which has won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) national title in six of the past eight years, will return all but one player from last year's team, which fell 86-82 to the eventual champion Saskatchewan Huskies in CIS semi-final play on March 20. The Ravens last hosted the CAN-AM Shootout at Scotiabank Place in 2008, when they were felled 84-83 by the defending NCAA champion Kansas Jayhawks.

 

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Big East Conference, the Bearcats will enter the 2010-11 season coming off a 19-16 campaign and the team's first appearance in the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) under head coach Mike Cronin. Cincinnati eliminated Weber State by a score of 76-62 in the tournament's opening round on March 17 before falling to the eventual NIT champion Dayton Flyers in second-round play on March 22. The Bearcats, who are scheduled to return three starters from last season's team, most recently played in the NCAA tournament in 2005. the last of of 14 consecutive appearances.
