I just came back from a conference where the theme was “Risk”. A RISK is something that stretches you; pushes you out of your comfort zone. The dictionary definition of risk is “a situation involving being exposed to danger”. BUT, the synonym for Risk is POSSIBILITY.
The most successful people, CEO’s, innovators faced opportunities as Possibilities; as ‘What If’s’. No risk, no reward, right?
Pastor Louie Giglio, fresh out of Seminary, moved across the country to start a weekly Bible study for students. During a flight back home to be with his dying father, he felt called to start a National gathering of college students that has grown to a yearly attendance of 70,000 18-25 year olds.
Louie said: “If God is in your story, there really are no risks, only opportunities to take steps of faith into the unknown.”
