Promise Keepers - Fearless - Feb 27 & 28, 2014

pk2014_web100Discover the freedom that comes when we fear only God. Walk in the fear of the Lord as a daily lifestyle. Consider the great things God has done for you and allow Him to do great things through you. Promise Keepers Canada's National Mens Conference is in Ottawa February 27th & 28th, 2015.

Tickets are available online here or by calling 1-888-901-9700.

Fear often plays a greater role than we realize. The fear of the unknown; fear for our jobs, our relationships, leaves many of us anxious. The fear of failure leaves other men stuck rather than pursuing the life God has called them to. Far too many men are either held back by fear or afraid of nothing and leaving a trail of damage in the lives around them.

Worship Leader - Andrew Thompson

Speaker - Kirk Giles is the President of Promise Keepers Canada. As a member of the Promise Keepers Canada team for 20 years, Kirk has become one of Canada’s leading Christian voices on the challenges and opportunities men face. He is a leader, teacher, and a man with vision for the importance of building God’s Kingdom. His two greatest desires in ministry is to see men walk with Jesus, and to see the local church be everything Jesus dreamed it to be. Under his leadership, the ministry of Promise Keepers Canada has continued to evolve in strengthening tens of thousands of men through electronic, print, and live events that ignite and equip men to have a godly impact, and through initiatives like The Fatherless Project which trains and connects men to mentor children and youth from father absent families. Kirk is the developer of Blueprint – a framework for the discipleship of men in the local church, and the author of “The King’s Men” small group studies focused on the 7 Promises of a Promise Keeper. In addition to his role at Promise Keepers Canada, Kirk has been actively involved in his community as a baseball coach and serving as an Elder in his home church in Paris, Ontario. His greatest joy in life is his family - Kirk is married to Shannon and they have four children.

Speaker - Mark Hughes is the founding pastor of Church of the Rock. It is a multi-site church with several locations in the cities of Winnipeg and Calgary. Their services are broadcast on television from coast to coast in English and in French. Recently they added an interactive online live format service. Mark’s practical and humourous style has struck a chord with audiences of all ages and has consistently led the ratings for religious programs in Canada. He believes that Jesus and His disciples demonstrated that manliness in leadership is not just acceptable but essential for the success of the church. He has authored the book, A Greater Purpose; Finding Your Place in God’s Great Big Space. Mark is an advocate for church unity and has co-led a movement of corporate prayer and evangelism in Winnipeg for 25 years. He claims his greatest joy and success in life is that he and his wife Kathy have three grown children that all love Jesus.

Speaker - Ken JohnsonMany refer to Ken Johnson as an “Inspirational Speaker, a “Gifted Minister and Singer” or even “Chaplain of the Indianapolis Colts” because these are the things he does and is known for today. Through Ken’s many years of faithful ministry and service, he has had much success and has become a nationally known speaker to schools, organizations, corporations and churches. However, Ken’s motivation to speak and the content he transparently shares with audiences of all shapes and sizes, tells you who this man really is and why those closest to him are inspired by his example. Ken’s life is a story of incredible transformation. Youth, corporate executives, fathers, young, old, rich and poor are all inspired by Ken to choose excellence, because through Ken’s transparent story telling, simple wisdom and profound truths they see that this “poor little black boy from the ghetto” was transformed and they can be too. Ken is married to his wife and partner in excellence, Della. They live in Indianapolis and have three adult children: Dominick, Kendall and Kristina.

Speaker - Rick Reed is the President of Heritage College & Seminary since January 2013. Before coming to Heritage, Rick was the Senior Pastor at the Metropolitan Bible Church for fourteen years and was a regular contributor to a weekly column in the Ottawa Citizen that addressed a wide-range of spiritual questions. Dr. Reed received his Bachelor of Arts from Biola University, Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is committed to using his life experiences and passion to glorify God in the training and equipping of men and women for life and ministry. He is married to Linda, who is his partner in both life and ministry. They have three children.
