Summer Kick-Off

waupoos_smallThis past Saturday I attended the Waupoos Family Farm Summer Kick-Off and what a blast! Of the many things to do there were the cutest little ducks, baby turkeys, kittens, and rabbits. Sundance Ranch provided rides for the kids on their pony "Merry Legs" who obliged everyone with her gentleness and patience.

Kids of all ages (if you get my meaning) had fun with face painting, sack races, water games, swimming pool, dancing to the music and hay rides. During the hayride we had just stopped in a meadow when a very shy gentleman stood up and then immediately went down on one knee to propose to his sweetheart. What a surprise! She was shaking and immediately shouted "Yes!" After much clapping and cheering we were off to the lollipop tree! Yes, you heard me right. This special tree provides lollipop's in the summer and amazingly, Easter eggs at Easter! Who would have thought! What a great time for everyone and a Big Thank you to Sabrina, the Resident families and all the volunteers who give so lovingly and joyfully to everyone who comes. You're the best! And may God continue to bless this ministry and those you serve.
