On Friday, October 28th Ottawa will celebrate its 7th Annual Civic Prayer Breakfast. Believers from all denominations and backgrounds, will pray for our city, our police, firefighters, paramedics and our elected officials. Featuring guest speaker Peter Tilley, Executive Director of The Ottawa Mission.

The Ottawa Civic Prayer Breakfast is one of 50 or more city prayer breakfasts held annually across the country. At the breakfast, honour and pray for our Mayor, City Councillors and First Responders.
WHEN: Friday, October 28th, 2016 @ 7:15am - 9:15am
WHERE: Ottawa Conference & Event Centre, 200 Coventry Road, Vanier Parkway

People of faith in Christ are exhorted and encouraged to pray for all in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness. (1 Tim. 2:1,2) God has promised to bless our City if we, His people, will pray and seek His face. (2 Chron. 7:14) The Lord encourages citizens to pray for the well-being and love the City in which they live. Prayer contributes to the peace and safety and security of the city and all of its residents.
Guest Speaker:
Peter Tilley
Peter Tilley has been the Executive Director of the Ottawa Mission since June 2013. The Ottawa Mission is one of Ottawa’s oldest yet most progressive downtown shelters for the homeless, providing a full range of services to the less fortunate in our community.
Prior to The Mission, Peter joined the Ottawa Food Bank as a driver (leaving a successful business career on a ‘leap of faith’) and eventually served for 14 years as its Executive Director.
Peter has always had a vested interest in Ottawa’s well-being, whether serving on community boards or volunteering at his church or out in the community.
He is the proud father of a 20 year old daughter, Samantha. ottawamission.com
